Antoinette is the owner of NYC Violin Studio and the head violin instructor. She teaches private lessons and group violin classes.
She has taught thousands of hours in private violin lessons over the last 11 years and has been playing violin for 31 years, cello for 1.5 years and viola for 1.5 year.
She is a versatile violinist but specializes in classical, contemporary (pop), fiddle, electric violin and has an electric/acoustic 5-string violin with octave string capabilities.
She runs her studio from the heart of NYC, in Midtown Manhattan. Though Covid-19 presented some difficulties, she was able to move everything fully online until the pandemic passes or is less of a danger.
Antoinette has created an entire online violin school right here on this website. She has produced hundreds of practice and informational videos, with many more planned. The main recipients of these videos have been the Group Violin Class students, though she is working on creating more videos for the general public (for free).
She is an active member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and the NY Repertory Orchestra, which is based in Manhattan and has 6 concerts a year.
The compliment she receives most often from her students is that she is a patient teacher who always solves the problems the students are running into by containing to search for solutions to unique problems until the situation is fully and completely resolved.

Have been with Antoinette for two semesters, and will definitely keep going. She's very professional and friendly. She puts her heart and soul into preparing us resources and presenting classes, making sure every piece of music and skill we practice fits our level and challenging enough. Also love the semi-annual concerts. I really enjoy learning with her, meeting great people in class, doing amazing music and showing off in concerts. Looking forward to the next semester!

Antoinette is not only a wonderful musician, she's a true teacher. She was endlessly patient with me and could always find a different way to explain or describe what I needed to do. She was always encouraging but never fake about praise, so when I got it, I knew I'd actually done something right--and if I didn't, she would simply work with me further on it until I did. I'm a teacher myself, so I recognize what it takes to be a good one--and Antoinette is not just good: she's excellent. I've never met better.

I've been taking violin lessons with Antoinette for several years -- highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in violin! She patient, kind and very knowledgeable.
She also runs a series of group classes throughout the year, with a Winter and Spring concert. These classes are a fun way to meet her other students and put your skills into action
