Private Violin Lessons with Connor

Connor is a Manhattan based violinist and music educator. With over ten years of teaching experience, he has taught in numerous music schools and institutions across New York City and Chicago. He completed his Masters Degree in Violin Performance at the Chicago School of Performing Arts, studying under Almita Vamos and Liba Shacht where he was a featured soloist with the Graduate Chamber Orchestra. Currently, he can be seen performing with the Queer Urban Orchestra and regularly freelances across the tristate area.

Prior to moving to the East Coast, Connor began his music training at age four in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has performed in a variet of ensembles along the Wasatch Front, including the Salt Lake Symphony, Utah Philharmonic, and Great Basin Baroque. He completed his Bachelors degree in Violin Performance at the University of Utah under Dr. Kasia Sokol-Borup and Ralph Matson.

Connor is passionate about music education and violin playing. In his lessons, he focuses on the development of technique with the targeted purpose of playing music more expressively. Practicing music is a combination of meditation, athletics, entertainment, and art. Above all, Connor aspires his students to push themselves to new heights and explore the wonderful world of the violin.
