Looking for Violin Students?

NYC Violin Studio has a team of dedicated teachers. Occasionally, we have room for more to join our team.

The next teacher we bring on will be a reliable, part-time violin teacher who can retain a steady, unchanging schedule consisting of 8-20 hours per week. All lessons must occur within the operational hours of the studio (see Google Maps for most current information).

Teachers must be available at least 3-5 days per week to teach.

On the rare occasion that you teach outside the studio hours, please note that you may need to collect the lesson payment and schedule the student's next lesson.

Private Teachers

Many of our students are adults who like to take lessons after work, so being available after 5pm on weeknights, with more availability sometime over the weekend, is important. Late Afternoons are an option too.

Private teachers must be great communicators, easy to work with, and must keep their availability up-to-date on the live calendar as students can book themselves.

Teachers who are bi-lingual and who can teach more than one instrument will be given extra consideration, though this is not a requirement.

Teaching experience is not a must. Those new to teaching will be apprenticed by the owner and will start out with a commensurate pay level.

Above all, teachers must be reliable. Last minute teacher cancellations and reschedules will not be tolerated. It is perfectly fine for you to be an actively gigging musician, but it must not interfere with your set teaching schedule. In this vein, drastic teaching schedule changes must be kept to a minimum - no more than twice per year.

90% of our students play violin, so we maintain a very small viola and cello staff. You can check our private lessons page to see if we currently have this spot filled. Group Classes

We also deliver group classes and are sometimes looking for regular and guest teachers for our ongoing adult group violin classes. Teachers must be present in person for these. These classes are Hybrid, so a good working knowledge of Zoom is a plus here.
